Paint + Rust Removal in Mississippi
Old coatings, rust and mill scale off. Bare metal, profiled and ready for the next coat.
Strip it once. Coat it once.
Paint and rust removal is abrasive blasting. Angular media strips the old coating, rust and mill scale and cuts a profile into the steel so the new coating has something to grip. We blast dry or wet with silica-free media and work to the SSPC cleanliness grade your coating spec calls for.
SSPC-SP 6 commercial · SP 10 near-white · SP 5 white metal · dry or wet · silica-free media

Questions we get
What blast grade do I need?
Your coating manufacturer’s data sheet says. Most industrial and marine systems call for SSPC-SP 6, SP 10 or SP 5. Send the spec and we blast to it.
Can you remove paint and rust on site?
Yes. We bring the equipment to the steel, collect spent media and plan containment around your site.
What about lead paint?
Old coatings may contain lead. They need testing and a containment plan before blasting. Tell us the age of the coating and we will talk through it.
