Manufacturing
The tooling can't come offline, and the shutdown is already scheduled.
What builds up here
The soil
Mold release and flashCarbon and resin on diesCured rubber on tire moldsPaint oversprayMill scale and weld slagOil and coolant filmWood dust and finish overspray
How we clean it
The method
Dry ice first: tooling, molds, robots, PLC panels and bus bars cleaned in place, often hot, without pulling the tool. Sand blasting for structural steel and weld prep. Pressure washing for floors, booth walls and drains. They run together in one shutdown.
What it costs you
Why it matters
Mold cleaning is direct line downtime. Cleaning in the press turns a multi-shift teardown into a shift. Then scrap from contaminated tooling, die life, and electrical faults from conductive dust in panels.
