Power + Utilities
The outage is the product. Every day of it is money.
What builds up here
The soil
Coal dust and fly ashBoiler soot and slagOil and grease on turbine decksSalt film on insulatorsCorrosion on steel and stacksGrowth in cooling towers
How we clean it
The method
Dry ice on generators, stators, turbine components, bus ducts, insulators and switchgear — non-conductive, non-abrasive, no dry-out window before re-energizing. Sand blasting for tank, stack and structural steel. Pressure washing for cooling towers, precipitators and coal handling.
What it costs you
Why it matters
Day for day, the outage is the product. Grand Gulf refuels roughly every 18 months; gas and coal take spring and fall outages. Insulation resistance and partial-discharge numbers improve directly with clean windings.
