How Much Does Dry Ice Blasting Cost in Mississippi?

Frostbite Blasting prices dry ice blasting in Mississippi job by job, not from a flat rate card. The cost depends on the equipment or area to clean, how much buildup is on it, access, timing and travel from Jackson. What changes the price of dry ice blasting?

Five things move the number. Photos and a short description answer most of them before anyone drives out.

01Size of the area or equipmentOne mold or one panel takes a few hours. A production line, a full attic of fire-damaged framing or a switchgear room during an outage can take one or more full days.
02How much buildup there isA light film of dust or grease comes off fast. Thick carbon, baked-on food soil or years of release agent take more passes and more ice.
03AccessEquipment we can walk up to is the quickest. Scaffolding, lifts, tight crawl spaces or work at height add setup time.
04Shift or shutdown timingNight shifts, weekend work and fixed outage windows can change the rate because the crew and equipment are booked around your schedule.
05TravelWe are based in Jackson. Jobs on the Gulf Coast, in North Mississippi or in a neighboring state may add travel. See below.

Why don't you publish a price list?

Because no two jobs are the same. One mold in a press and a fire-damaged attic both count as dry ice blasting, but they take very different time, crew and ice. A flat number would be wrong for most people who read it. Contact us with photos and a short description, and we will come back with a price for your job.

What does the quote include?

Your quote spells out what you are paying for: the crew, the blasting equipment, the dry ice and any travel. You see the full price before we schedule anything.

Do you charge travel outside Jackson?

We are based in Jackson and work across Mississippi, plus Alabama, Louisiana and West Tennessee. If a job needs travel, it is built into your quote up front, so there are no surprise charges later.

How does dry ice blasting compare with pressure washing or sand blasting on cost?

The hourly rate for dry ice is usually higher. The total job cost is often lower once cleanup and downtime are counted.

Dry ice blasting

No water and no grit. The pellets turn to gas, so the only thing left to sweep up is the dirt that came off. Equipment can often be cleaned in place, without teardown, and electrical gear has no dry-out time.

Pressure washing

Lower rate, but the wash water has to be contained and sometimes disposed of, and equipment has to dry before it goes back into service. Not safe for electrical gear.

Sand blasting

The right choice for coating prep and heavy rust. Spent grit has to be cleaned up and hauled off, and nearby equipment has to be masked or moved.
